Dear Students,
The Aurora Excellence Fellowship Program for Master and PhD students enrolled at the University of Innsbruck or at University of Naples Federico II is now open for applications (deadline: February 23rd, 2026).
This program aims to foster scientific collaboration and exchange in Quantum Science and Technology between the University of Naples Federico II and the University of Innsbruck, both members of the Aurora European Universities Alliance (https://aurora-universities.eu).
What does it offer for Innsbruck students?
The Fellowship is open to last year Bachelor students, Master students, and PhD students.
Selected students will have the exceptional opportunity to spend three to four weeks (between July and September 2026) working with leading research groups in Naples (Italy). Participants will gain hands-on experience and invaluable skills in cutting-edge fields such as photonics, quantum information and computing, quantum simulation, and more.
A proven success
Over the past three years, this mobility fellowship has been a tremendous success, providing students with an enriching scientific experience and fostering international collaboration within the quantum research community.
Full financial support
All travel and accommodation expenses will be fully covered following the host institutions internal rules (further information will be available upon acceptance). Specific time slots for the stay will be indicated in the registration form.
